Alessandro Pozzi

- Prof. Alessandro Pozzi has been in practice since 1997
- He is a Clinical Researcher in Surgical navigation and Advanced Dental Technologies at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, a Clinical Associate Professor at Goldstein Center for Esthetics and Implant Dentistry, Augusta University, USA and a part-time Faculty member at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Department of Restorative & Biomaterials Sciences, USA
He holds a PhD from the Doctoral School of Clinical Medicine, University of Szeged, Hungary and specializes in Orthodontics, TMJ disfunctions and is a Specialist in Oral Surgery
- He is a widely published researcher and scientist
- He co-edited the textbook “Fundamentals of Implant Dentistry” (Quintessence Publishing) with PK Moy and John Beumer and is an editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Oral Implantology (IJOI), the Journal of Esthetic Restorative Dentistry (JERD) and International Journal of Oral Maxillofacial Implants (IJOMI)

- Since 2015, he is the Executive Board member and current vice-president of Azerbaijani Society of Periodontology
- Since 2019, he is the Delegate of the Azerbaijani Society of Periodontology to the European Federation of Periodontology
- Since 2023, he is the Scientific Coordinator and Speaker at the Periodontology Curriculum, continuing annual program on the diagnosis, non-surgical & surgical treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases, organized by the Azerbaijani Society of Periodontology
- He is the member of the Azerbaijani Society of Periodontology (PERIOAZ), European Federation of Periodontology (EFP), International Team for Implantology (ITI), German Society of Periodontology (DGP), Austrian Society of Periodontology (OeGP), American Academy of Periodontology (AAP) and German Association of Dental Implantology (DGZI)

Mechanical and biological aspects of periimplant tissues remodelling. (Lecture duration 1 hour)

Periimplant soft tissues play an important role in maintaining long-term implant stability.

The course focuses on peri-implant soft tissues and augmentation techniques and explores the effect of implant design on marginal soft tissues and long-term bone stability.
